| Regular/Long Term: |
This is our basic foster care program. Typically, children placed in your home will be with you for 6-12 months while the child’s parents are actively pursuing reunification. The time frame will vary from child to child. Your "job" is to work with the birth parents and encourage reunification.
|
| Emergency Shelter Care (ESH): |
This program provides short term emergency foster care from one day up to a maximum of 30 days. In this foster care role you may work closely with birth parents towards reunification, assist in transitioning children into a regular/long term foster care placement, or work with pre-adoptive families(know as Concurrent Planning Families).
|
| UP (Unconditional Placement) Program: |
This short-term program is similar to ESH in that maximum stay is 30 days. UP parents need to possess a high degree of flexibility and be available for placements 7 days a week. Children placed in these homes are identified by the agency as hard to place. In addition to the ESH reimbursement rate per child, an additional retainer is paid for each bed contracted under this program.
|
| Special Medical Program: |
This program involves caring for children with a range of medical needs. This may include temporary illnesses or injuries or children living with chronic/life long medical conditions. This program does not require a medical background or training. You will be provided with special training based on the individual needs of the child placed in your home.
|
| Families First Program: |
This program involves working with teens that are involved in an intensive day treatment program in the Fountain Valley area. Families living in nearby cities are eligible. This purpose of this program is to allow children who are on the brink of being placed in group homes the opportunity to remain in foster care. This program provides a high level of structure and specialized support.
