After over a year, Carlos was matched with his new permanent family. He now has a brother and sister to play with, and a loving parent who takes good care of him.

Entered the juvenile system when both she and her mother tested positive for opiates at the hospital where Nguyet was born. Shortly afterward, Nguyet’s biological mother stopped visiting her and failed to appear in court. The whereabouts of Nguyet’s father was unknown.
While searching for Nguyet’s family, a maternal aunt and uncle were found who wished to adopt Nguyet. With help from the Adoption Assistance Program, Nguyet’s extended family was able to adopt her and provide her with a safe, loving, permanent home.

Became a dependent of Orange County Social Services after a call was initiated to the Child Abuse Hot Line. Doctors reported that members of her immediate family had abused her. With ongoing therapy and counseling, Mary continues to thrive with her new family, her new brother and their two dogs.
